Wednesday 14 October from 06:30 to 09:00 is the best window, with light south-south-westerly wind, the flood about five hours in, dawn light and springs running in October's peak season. Wednesday evening from 18:00 to 20:00 is a close second on the same springs and flood, though the wind is a little stronger at 10 mph and the light is dusk.
