Friday 16 October from 07:30 to 10:30 is the best window, with a light north-westerly, five hours into the flood on mid tides, dawn light and sea at 16.4°C. Friday evening from 19:30 to 22:30 is a second option on the same flood with a calmer sea, but this is late in the season, well past the early-summer peak, and the morning swell is around 1.6 m.
